FCC Isn't Voting On Net Neutrality Next Month

The FCC's vote on whether to roll back net neutrality regulations implemented in 2015 isn't going to occur in November, despite what some reports claimed. Chairman Ajit Pai has listed the measures that'll be decided next month and the "Restoring Internet Freedom" rule isn't on the list.
Restoring Internet Freedom will, if passed, roll back the Open Internet Order that used the existing Title II framework to more heavily regulate internet service providers.
Here are the measures that'll be voted on next month:
  • Combating robocalls and other phone-based spam
  • Opening 1,700 more megahertz of spectrum for 5G networks
  • Official adoption of the improved ATSC 3.0 broadcast standard
  • Ignoring historic preservation review on replacing utility poles
  • "Common-sense measures" to ease transition from copper to fiber
  • Revamping the Lifeline connectivity subsidy program
  • Updating cable operator reporting rules
  • "Modernizing our media ownership rules"
