Microsoft reported $1.397 billion in revenue from its mobile phone business in Q3 FY2015, a figure that has declined significantly in the past couple years. According to its report for the third quarter of fiscal year 2017, Microsoft only made $5 million.
Its earnings report for the quarter said "phone revenue declined $730 million." When considering the $735 million reported in Q3 FY2016, we can figure out how much Microsoft earned.
Amy Hood, Microsoft's chief financial officer, said there was "no material phone revenue this quarter" during an earnings call. The company expects there to continue being negligible phone revenue.
