Apple Watch apps from Amazon, eBay, Google, and others quietly disappeared from the platform in recent weeks. Their disappearance suggests Apple Watch isn't a very lucrative platform and people aren't using it enough to even notice the absence of those apps.
Google Maps ended its support for the system in the past few weeks. Amazon and eBay dropped their support in late April. Existing users still have the software, but new people will notice those apps no longer say "offers Apple Watch app."
Although they might be gone right now, it's unknown if the apps will remain absent permanently. Google Maps has said the app will return at some point.
