GM, Lyft May Introduce Autonomous Fleet In 2018

GM and Lyft's partnership on autonomous vehicles could lead to the introduction of a public fleet as early as 2018. Reuters reports GM is working on a fleet for 2018 that will include "thousands" of modified Chevy Bolt EVs. A roll out of those vehicles would represent the largest autonomous introduction of its kind.
While the rumor isn't being confirmed by GM, the company has indicated its self-driving cars will join Lyft relatively soon.
We do not provide specific details on potential future products or technology rollout plans. We have said that our AV technology will appear in an on-demand ride sharing network application sooner than you might think,- GM
