Microsoft Preparing To Cut 700 Jobs Next Week

Several months ago, Microsoft confirmed to cut 2,850 jobs globally by June 2017 as a part of latest restructure and failed business with Lumia smartphones. Most of the layoffs will affect the mobile division and the first wave of the layoffs will happen next week.
The company is expected to cut 700 jobs next week during its quarterly earnings announcement on January 26. There is no word on a particular area, but we assume that most of the layoffs would affect the mobile division. Since Satya Nadella became CEO in early 2014, Microsoft has laid off more than 25,000 employees.
