Sony Halts Android 7.0 Nougat Update For Several Xperia Devices

Sony is the fourth company that halted its Nougat update, after ASUS, Samsung and HTC did the same. Unlike those companies, which didn't specify the reason behind stopping the update, Sony says that they were made aware of problems related to audio playback.
Luckily, they have identified the root cause and are already working on a fix that should be released very soon for Xperia Z5, Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z4 Tablet owners.
"We were made aware of reports from some users experiencing inconsistencies related to audio playback via third-party apps and SD card encrypted data read performance, after upgrading to Android 7.0, Nougat. We've identified the root cause and are aiming to provide corrective firmware and re-commence the rollout as soon as possible."
