OnePlus 3/3T users can finally use Face Unlock on their phones

OnePlus 3 and 3T owners have been waiting to try out the face unlock feature on their phones since ages now. However, the company failed to deliver the same so far.
Well, that’s set to change since Oxygen OS 5.0.3 is now rolling out to users, bringing the Face Unlock feature with it.
Well, that’s set to change since Oxygen OS 5.0.3 is now rolling out to users, bringing the Face Unlock feature with it. The feature is basically a renamed version of Google’s Trusted Faces option, though OnePlus takes it out of the “Smart Lock” options and makes it part of the main settings screen. The company first added the option to the OnePlus 5T and OnePlus 5, and of course, the OnePlus 6 has it too.
It’s worth noting that Face Unlock, though fast and surprisingly dependable, is not as secure as biometric facial recognition methods. You can’t use it for payments and though the success rate is high, it can still fail at times. Here’s the full changelog for the new update.
