Samsung’s next flagship smartphone is just a few months away, and rumors are starting to break out. It seems the Galaxy Note 9 (or whatever Samsung plans to call it) will have 512GB of storage inside and 8GB of RAM, thanks to a tweet by industry tipster @Ice Universe.
For developed markets, these two specs could give the device a huge edge. In fact, leaks say that despite providing 512GB storage, Samsung is still going to add a micro-SD expansion slot to the device.
That said, the tip, in this case, suggests that the 512GB/8GB variant may be limited only to China. The base model of the Galaxy Note 9 should start with 64GB storage, which would be the right thing to do, considering the market.
The Galaxy Note 9 will almost certainly run on the Snapdragon 845 chipset, with a version running on Samsung’s own Exynos counterpart as well. That’s the Exynos 9810, which has proven to be every bit an equal to the Snapdragon 845, albeit with some battery disadvantages.
The Galaxy Note 9 should be announced in August this year, though Samsung hasn’t revealed any details just yet.
