Moto Z3 Play images leaked, alongside 5G Moto Mod

We’re about halfway through 2018 and it’s time for all the other flagships to launch. And of course, leaks have begun. The newest of these being the Moto Z3 Play, which is expected later this year. The device will be an update to the company’s modular Moto Z series, launched two-years ago. Motorola had promised then, that at least its next two flagships will be modular, and it seems to be following through.
The device will be an update to the company’s modular Moto Z series.
A couple of images of the device have been leaked online, showing the phone itself and a possible 5G mod for the device. According to reports, the Moto Z3 Play will be introduced in Brazil on June 6, so we may not have to wait too long to learn all the particulars.
The Moto Z3 Play is expected to run on the Snapdragon 636 chipset, combined with a 6-inch AMOLED 18:9 display and at least 4GB of RAM. It should have 64GB storage inside, along with a 3000 mAh battery and Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. Since this is the “Play” edition, the Snapdragon 845 doesn’t make an appearance, but we do expect Motorola to unveil a modular device with that chipset too, eventually.
