EA Access May Work On Other Consoles

EA could expand its EA Access game subscription service to cover the PlayStation 4, not just the Xbox One. CEO Andrew Wilson commented during an earnings call that because the service has proven a hit on Xbox One, it could be expanded to "other platforms."
Since the company runs a very similar service, Origin Access, on PC, one would assume the other platform in question is the PS4. Outside of FIFA 18, EA doesn't really have games for the Nintendo Switch that would let it create a subscription service.
Our subscription player base continues to grow. And you should expect us to continue driving this model to more platforms going forward.- Wilson
This model is profitable since although people receive access to titles via their monthly subscription instead of by paying the full price, some games (e.g. Battlefield and FIFA) come with microtransactions, ensuring EA will pull in a lot of revenue from Access titles.
