AT&T Drops Attempt To Inhibit Google Fiber's Rollout In Louisville

AT&T has backed away from its legal case against Louisville and Jefferson County over them providing Google Fiber and other competitors with faster utility pole access. It sued the local government early in 2016, but a US District Court judge ruled against AT&T in August.
It's now decided against an appeal, meaning the final ruling stands and the local government's One Touch Make Ready system should persist.
That system allows a company like Google to receive full access to utility poles on its own and it can make whatever adjustments are needed without waiting on a crew from existing providers like AT&T.
This ordinance in Louisville is still being challenged by Charter.
