Russia's posts on Instagram had a reach of 20 million in the United States, Facebook's general counsel Colin Stretch revealed to Congress on Wednesday. Tech companies are testifying in front of a Senate committee about how Russia-linked groups used posts and ads on their platforms to influence the 2016 election.
Content from Russian sources was able to reach 126 million Americans just on Facebook and now we know tens of millions were reached through Facebook-owned Instagram.
There were around 120,000 Russian posts on the social network, says Stretch.
