HTC is expected to announce a successor to its popular Vive VR headset in the coming weeks, and we might have learned the name of the headset. According to trademark applications in both Europe and the United States, the new VR headset might be called HTC Vive Focus.
The new device is expected to be a standalone VR headset that will be running on Google's Daydream mobile VR platform. The hardware will be based on a reference design made by the search engine giant in partnership with Qualcomm and offers six degrees of freedom (6DOF) positional tracking with 3DOF motion controls.
