Sony is bringing down the price of the PlayStation VR. It has effectively announced price cuts for two bundles. First, the $399 "core" bundle will now include a PlayStation Camera, not just the headset. Second, the $499 bundle, which has a camera, two Move controllers, and the minigame collection PlayStation Worlds, is dropping to $449.
The bundle changes will go into effect on September 1.
This will make the PlayStation VR a legitimately $399 device for the first time. Even though the headset has been sold at that price from the beginning, it requires an external camera to work, so the real price has been higher until now.
