Facebook Pages That Regularly Share Fake News Will Be Banned From Advertising

Facebook Pages caught regularly sharing fake news will be prevented from growing their audience through ads on the social network. It is already using multiple techniques to figure out when stories should be considered fake. Those that fit that description can't be promoted through Facebook ads.
Now, Pages that tend to share fake content won't be allowed to advertise on the platform, regardless of whether their specific ad has any misleading content.
Facebook says it's making this change because it's concerned "there are Pages posting this information that are using Facebook Ads to build audiences" in order to spread fake news. With this policy change, it could further reduce the economic incentives associated with sharing misleading content.
