To keep up with demand, Nintendo says it's going to increase production of the Switch as we get closer to the holiday shopping season. A statement from the company confirms it'll "ramp up" production. This is especially important given the Switch continues to attract many buyers, leading GameStop to sell out of new shipments within a few days of getting them.

Nintendo's official forecast still involves shipping 10 million Switch units by the end of March 2018. Yet analysts believe the company should be planning to manufacture millions of additional units.
