Hyperloop One was nearly able to reach 200 mph with its latest successful test run. The company has released footage showing its XP-1 pod heading along the DevLoop track at 192 mph for a total of 1,433 feet. This test, known as 'Phase 2,' was far more substantial than Phase 1, which received a lot of attention in July.
The Phase 1 test only saw the pod reach 69 mph and it traveled for 315 feet.
Phase 2 also included a propulsion segment that was 300 meters long, 10x longer than the original.
In some of its coming tests, Hyperloop One wants to reach 250 mph.
