Skype's mobile app is now offering payment capabilities from PayPal. A deal between the companies has enabled users across 22 countries to send money to each other. Since the Skype app has around 300 million monthly active users, this also gives PayPal a greater reach.
As long as you have the latest version of the app installed, you can find "Send Money" in the "Find" section located on the top bar during a conversation.
With the feature pulled up, you'll enter the amount to send and confirm the payment.
All transactions are fee-less when using your PayPal balance or a debit card in the US. Credit card transactions come with a 3.4% fee plus $0.30.
Here are the supported countries: the U.S., the U.K., Austria, Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands,
Portugal, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain.
