Bixby's availability is expanding within Samsung's line of smartphones. The AI-based digital assistant is now going to be offered on midrange units, specifically those in the 2017 A series. In South Korea, the Galaxy A7 comes with the assistant, meaning Bixby is no longer exclusive to S8 devices.
Though the assistant gives Samsung a competitor to Google Assistant and Siri, it's still struggling to really offer an alternative. Despite launching months ago, Bixby isn't available in the US and voice controls are absent everywhere other than South Korea. In the case of the A7, even the Korean version of the phone doesn't have voice controls.
