Supercharger Stations Will Soon Use Solar Energy

Tesla's Supercharger stations are soon going to make the switch to solar power. CEO Elon Musk revealed he plans to upgrade the Supercharger network so that they exclusively run on solar and batteries. Currently they're connected to the regular grid, which receives power from natural gas and coal.
@BraveRock_ @elonmusk Unfortunately I can stand at the Tesla superchargers and see the coal power plant. Play the shell game all you want these are coal powered.
@ApexCornerSpeed @BraveRock_ All Superchargers are being converted to solar/battery power. Over time, almost all will disconnect from the electricity grid.
As one of the leaders in solar and electric vehicles, it makes sense for Tesla to make the transition. It's good PR and it also fits with the company's core message.

He didn't mention when the switch will take place, only that "over time, almost all will disconnect from the electricity grid." From his phrasing, it sounds like Tesla is currently working on the switch at all locations.
