Lyft has added a couple Uber Black-like ride hailing options to its service. Users who want to spend more on a premium ride can now utilize Lux and Lux SUV. Those black car options are initially available in five US cities and they'll reach 20 markets in the coming months.
You'll initially be able to use those services in Chicago, LA, NYC, SF, and San Jose.
Drivers need to have access to higher quality vehicles if they want to participate in the premium offerings. Every car must be newer than 2011, have a black exterior, and have leather or simulated leather seating.
Vehicles must also comfortably sit at least 6 riders in the case of Lux SUV.
