Google is improving its AI system on YouTube in order to better locate and flag propaganda content. This change follows complaints from advertisers about their ads appearing alongside problematic content, including terrorist and hate group propaganda.
The last thing YouTube/Google want is to lose a large number of top brands. Improving the AI flagging system may help it comply with the demands from companies that have complained.
Philipp Schindler, chief business officer at Google, says human monitoring can be useful, but humans aren't going to be adequate.
