Amazon Introduces 'Amazon Cash' For Funding Accounts

Amazon Cash is a new payment option that'll give people an alternative way to add money to their Amazon.com balance. The service enables people to add money to their account by showing a barcode at a participating retailer.
The service supports $15 to $500 per transaction and it'll initially be available at CVS, Speedway, Sheetz, Kum & Go, D&W Fresh Market, Family Fare Supermarkets, and VG's Grocery.
This gives people a fairly simple way to turn actual cash into money that can be used on Amazon. It's therefore similar to PayPal My Cash Card, which also gives people a way to turn cash into PayPal funds.
No fees exist with this funding option, which further makes it a superior option to prepaid cards in some cases.
Amazon Cash is first launching in the US.
