Requests for Reddit user data from law enforcement have tripled in the past two years, according to the site's 2016 Transparency Report. That report details how many times Reddit has been contacted by the US or foreign governments demanding private info.
It received 170 requests last year, up from 55 in 2014, which is when the first Reddit transparency report was released.
Among those requests, 137 were from the US. Those broke down into 69 subpoenas, 8 court orders, 32 search warrants, and 19 emergency requests.
The UK, Germany, and Australia were the top sources of foreign requests.
Reddit only partially or fully complied in 62% of cases.
