LG And Samsung Postpone Shutdown Of Old LCD Plants

LG Display and Samsung Display are expecting to make a shift to OLED panels in near future, and to do that, they need to shut down LCD production. Both companies had plans end production by the end of 2016, but they have decided to postpone those plans.
LG Display had plans to shut down LCD production for its 3.5th generation, 4th generation, and 5th generation plants by the end of the first half of 2017, while Samsung Display was going to end production at its LCD 6th generation and 7th generation plants by the end of 2017. The good thing for some manufacturers is that these plans have been postponed, with no new target date.
