Apple Might Be Making A Power Management Chip

Apple is known to be creating its own graphics chip for upcoming iPhones and it may also be working on a power management chip. Reuters reports Apple has a team that's designing a chip. If true, Apple would be even less reliant on third-party manufacturers.
The iPhone currently uses power management chips from Dialog Semiconductor, a German supplier. Dialog has designed chips for Apple's 2017 and 2018 iPhones. So, Apple may switch to its own around 2019.
Apple is reportedly using a team in Germany, including individuals who previously worked at Dialog, to create a chip.
