Apple Reportedly Orders 70M OLED Displays From Samsung

An order for 70 million Samsung OLED displays has been placed by Apple, reports Nikkei. This year's OLED displays will be coming exclusively from Samsung, though that could change as the display technology becomes more widely used by Apple.
Those displays are for the iPhone 8, which is believed to come with a major design update, an edge-to-edge display, and a price tag over $1,000.
Nikkei is getting its information from a supply chain source.
David Hsieh, an IHS Markit analyst, has also stated Apple is ordering 70 million OLED displays from Samsung.
