The Nintendo Switch is already performing better on the market than the original Wii, says Nintendo. It says the console surpassed all previous launch sales records in the US during its first two days. Exact sales figures were not provided, though we know the Wii had 600,000 sales in six days.
Nintendo has also confirmed The Legends of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the best-selling standalone launch game in the company's history, beating Super Mario 64.
Outperforming the Wii, which was a clearly successful console, is a good marker of early success for the Switch.
