The iPhone 7 has been the best-selling smartphone in the world during the first few months of 2017. Kantar Worldpanel reports the device was ahead of the competition in most regions, including the US and Europe.
Apple's market share in the five largest European markets grew by 2.4%, bringing it to 22.7%. The company's best market is Japan, where its share is 42.4%.
Kantar also reports Android's market share has generally been increasing, with the exception of the US. Together, Android and iOS have essentially pushed out Windows Phone and BlackBerry entirely.
Along with being on top in terms of having the top individual phone, Apple wins when it comes to profits. Kantar says it's pulling in about 5.4x more than Samsung.
