Niantic has announced a big update for Pokemon Go that'll bring 80 new monsters to the game. The new Pokemon are coming from Gold and Silver, and they'll begin appearing later this week. Niantic is adding characters originally discovered in the Johto region, an area first explored in Gold and Silver.
Among the new Pokemon are Chikorita and Totodile.
This update is also adding "encounter gameplay, new Evolution items, two new Berries, and expanded outfit and accessory options for their Trainer avatars."
