GM, Honda Will Jointly Produce Hydrogen Fuel Cells

GM and Honda have partnered to jointly mass produce hydrogen fuel cells at a facility in Michigan. They plan to begin mass production by 2020. They'll spend a combined $85 million on the manufacturing effort as part of a joint venture called Fuel Cell System Manufacturing, LLC.
Cells will be built an an existing GM facility in Brownstown, Michigan. GM is currently using the facility to build battery packs for electric vehicles.
GM has already invested $3 billion in fuel cell-related efforts. It hopes to have a fuel cell vehicle on the market for consumers by 2020.
