A wearable intended for those with diabetes was revealed by PKvitality, a biomedical company, at CES. Its K'Track Glucose wearable uses small needles and a SkinTaste sensor to measure your glucose level. The needles are only 0.5 mm and they allow data to be collected from the fluid around tissue cells.
The K'Track Glucose was reportedly able to complete the collection and analysis process in under a minute during a demonstration.
It may offer an alternative to continuous glucose monitors (GCM) that are normally worn on the stomach.
Using it will cost around $1,350 per year based on the tracker's $150 price tag and a sensor price of $100. You need to replace the sensor each month.
