Parking features are going to be added to Google Maps, according to an analysis of its version 9.44 beta. It appears the app will help users figure out how difficult parking is at their destination. Parking availability will be shown within the app.
Maps can alert users ahead of time if it believes parking is going to be difficult. This may give drivers a heads up that they should begin looking for a spot a bit before they arrive.
Each route will display a little "p" next to its distance and estimated travel time. That "p" will be labeled "easy," "medium," or "limited," depending on its parking conditions.
