Verizon Has Thousands Of Active Note 7 Units, Will Start Blocking Calls

Even though the Note 7 was recalled months ago, "thousands" of people are still using the phone on Verizon's network. To try and get rid of those remaining units, the carrier is going to start rerouting outgoing calls. Unless you're calling emergency services, your Note 7 calls will just be directed to Verizon customer service.
Verizon confirmed there are still quite a few Note 7 users to Fortune. Another step it may take is to bill owners for the full price of the phone. Some owners say they've already been notified they will be charged if they don't return the phone in a matter of days.
