Amazon will expand its physical presence this spring with another physical bookstore, this time in New York City. The company already has bookstores in Seattle, San Diego, and Portland. Its NYC location is 4,000 square feet and will be found in the Shops at Columbus Circle part of the Time Warner Center.
It has also confirmed plans for bookstores in Chicago and Massachusetts. A rumor had claimed Amazon would open one in the Hudson Yards development area of Manhattan in 2018, but that plan hasn't been confirmed.
Prime members, like in the other locations, are expected to receive different pricing. They'll pay a book's Prime price, while other customers will often pay more.
