Tens of thousands of people have shown enough interest in Faraday Future's FF 91 to reserve the electric vehicle. The company received 64,124 reservations within 36 hours of the unveil. However, that number doesn't mean a whole lot since you can reserve an FF 91 without paying anything.
Consumers can either place a free reservation or a $5,000 premium reservation. It's the latter that'll help Faraday Future continue functioning. A bunch of free reservations isn't as useful for a struggling company.
The FF91, which is Faraday Future's first vehicle, has a 378-mile range and a 0-60 mph time of 2.39 seconds.
Production is scheduled to begin next year.
