Another vehicle has been added to Volkswagen's I.D. concept lineup. It's autonomous, electric, and has a retractable steering wheel. Volkswagen plans to fully unveil the car during the North American International Auto Show in Detroit next month.
We know the concept vehicle uses the auto maker's Modular Electric Drive (MEB) base. Volkswagen's first I.D. vehicle, which was shown during the Paris Motor Show earlier in 2016, will be the first to use MEB.
The steering wheel in this concept goes away when you press the VW logo in its center. This gives the driver more room in the car when it's operating in a fully autonomous mode.
