Tesla Autopilot Predicts Crash, Slows Down Faster Than Driver

The benefits of Tesla's autonomous vehicle technology have already become apparent on a few occasions, the latest being a crash in the Netherlands. Hans Noordsij uploaded a clip to Twitter showing a Model S' emergency braking system kicking in slightly ahead of a crash.
Tesla's sensors noticed an impending accident between an SUV and another vehicle a couple cars ahead of it. It then responded faster than the human driver could.

It appears this response was possible due to a radar processing technology update pushed out in September. That update allowed Autopilot to see a couple cars ahead of your location.
