According to a report from DigiTimes, HTC has a successor to the Vive VR headset in the works and might unveil it very soon. The second-generation VR headset could be showcased at upcoming CES 2017, which is scheduled to be held in Las Vegas from January 1-5.
HTC has also reduced the price of the HTC Vive devices by $100, so there could be truth in DigiTimes' report. The new HTC Vive 2 is expected to come with some highly-requested features, such as support for 4K, a built-in wireless transmitter and a higher refresh rate of 120 Hz instead of 90 Hz.
