Passengers Can Now Use Uber's Autonomous Vehicles In San Francisco



Uber has officially expanded its autonomous vehicle pick-ups to San Francisco, allowing some users around the city to get a ride in a self-driving Volvo SUV. Each vehicle includes a safety driver in case a human needs to take over as well as an Uber test engineer.
Anyone who requests an uberX could get a ride in an autonomous XC90.
This testing come after the transportation company began picking up passengers in autonomous vehicles in Pittsburgh.
Uber has been driving around San Francisco for months to collect mapping data.
