Google Is Offering Free WiFi In 100 Indian Railway Stations

Free WiFi is now being offered by Google at the 100 busiest railway stations in India. Google describes this project as "the largest public WiFi project in the world." It's connecting around 5 million people every month and 15,000 people access the internet for the first time each day.
The 100th station to receive free WiFi is in Udhagamandalam. Google said earlier in 2016 that it would bring service to 100 stations this year. It was live in 52 stations at the end of September. Google plans to reach 400 locations by the end of 2017.
It's working with a state-run ISP, RailTel, to provide internet access.
