Xiaomi Mi 8 may have in-display fingerprint sensor

It seems Xiaomi’s next flagship smartphone will have an in-display fingerprint sensor. In a video leaked on YouTube, the phone is said to support the feature, though there’s no confirmation from the company on this. The phone is expected to be called the Xiaomi Mi 8 and will be one of the company’s flagships for the year.
That said, Xiaomi has already announced the Mi Mix 2S and it doesn’t have an in-display fingerprint sensor. The Mi Mix 2s is an all-screen device, meaning such a fingerprint sensor would have been perfect for it. If Xiaomi is indeed adding the sensor on the Mi 8, it’s likely that this flagship will also have an all-screen design.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 is expected to run on the Snapdragon 845 chipset and would be available in 6GB and 8GB RAM options. The phone will likely also have 64, 128 and 256 GB storage variants. The phone should have a 4000 mAh battery as well, and will likely be launched in China and some other asian markets.
Having an in-display fingerprint sensor would make Xiaomi’s phones amongst the first to adopt the standard.
