Lenovo might be working on a truly all-screen phone

We keep hearing that Lenovo will be handing over its smartphone efforts to Motorola, but the company keeps coming back. Its vice president, Chang Cheng, just teased a whole new smartphone, and if it is indeed real, the company may set a new standard.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 (above), has a 91.3% screen to body ratio.
In a photo shared on Chinese social network Weibo, Cheng posted a sketch showing a phone that is almost literally all screen. You’re probably wondering why that matters right? That’s because Lenovo’s smartphone doesn’t even have a notch on the top, and the bezels are really ultra-thin, practically invisible.
The device is apparently called the Lenovo Z5 and it has been seen in partial images before this.
According to Cheng, the company's upcoming flagship smartphone will have a 95% screen to body ratio and four technological breakthroughs. That includes 18 patented technologies though Cheng isn’t saying just what these new technologies would be.
That said, this is the first time we’ve seen such screen to body ratios on a smartphone. Apple had of course done a nearly all-screen device last year and others have followed, but they all have notches. You also have the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2, which has a 91.3% screen to body ratio.
