Here’s what Windows 10 on ARM cannot do

Microsoft’s ARM-based Windows 10 devices are yet to make it to market, but the company had many excited since the launch. HP, Asus, and Lenovo are already onboard, though their devices are yet to go on sale. In the meanwhile, Microsoft has, perhaps mistakenly, published a full list of limitations of these ARM-based PCs, answering questions many had for a while. The information has since been removed, but Thurrott spotted it before Microsoft could get to it.
It seems Windows 10 PCs on the ARM will only support ARM64 drivers. So, even though ARM PCs can run x86 apps, they won’t be able to use x86 drivers. Further, x64 apps aren’t supported on Windows 10, while games and apps using OpenGL later than 1.1 may not work. Apps requiring hardware-accelerated OpenGL will not work either.
Next, apps “customizing the Windows experience” may not work properly, which may cause issues for those using assistive technologies. ARM-based may also have troubles in running mobile versions of Windows.
The full report can be found on Thurrot.com and answers some important questions users had since the announcement of Windows 10 on the ARM.
