Facebook Reaches Record Share Value After Reporting $4.7B In Profit

Facebook had an impressive third quarter, with its profit increasing 79% year-over-year to $4.7 billion. It once again surpassed expectations. The company earned $10.3 billion in revenue and $1.59 GAAP earnings per share. That went beyond estimates of $9.84 billion in revenue and $1.28 EPS.
Its earnings per share value were up 76% compared to last year and revenue growth was 47% over last year. Revenue increased less than during Q3 2016, likely due to it running out of ways to increase advertising.
Facebook is now up to 2.06 billion monthly active users and it had 1.37 billion daily active users.
