Uber is appealing its ban in London and during that process it'll be allowed to continue operating in the region. London's transport regulator, TfL, revealed the ridehailing company wouldn't receive a license renewal. It was given 21 days to appeal the decision, which it has now done.
While we have today filed our appeal so that Londoners can continue using our app, we hope to continue having constructive discussions with Transport for London...As our new CEO (Dara Khosrowshahi) has said, we are determined to make things right.- Uber
The company has effectively admitted to engaging in problematic business tactics in the past. Now that it has new leadership, Uber hopes to have a better relationship with regulators, including those in London.
December 11 will see the initial court hearing for this appeal.
