Huawei has recently a premium version of the Mate 9 handset that comes with a slightly different design. As expected, the Porsche Edition isn't cheap as it costs around $1450, but in case if you need some repairs done on the phone, then it might be cheaper to buy a new one.
According to a post on Weibo, the parts of the Mate 9 Porsche Design are so expensive that it would be better to purchase a new phone. Some repairs cost up to $1,149, which is a cost for a motherboard replacement. Some parts are not that expensive such as rear or front camera, and a battery replacement. Here is the complete list of cost repairs:
- Screen = 4688 Yuan ($674)
- Motherboard = 7999 Yuan ($1149)
- Rear Camera = 348 Yuan ($50)
- Front Camera = 90 Yuan ($13)
- Battery = 94 Yuan ($14)
- Back Plate with Fingerprint Scanner = 2500 Yuan ($359)
