Line Brings $125 Clova Wave Smart Speaker To Japanese Market

Line, which is mainly known for its messaging services, has launched its first smart speaker in Japan. The company's Clova Wave speaker lets people control their music playback and ask questions via voice commands. People can also read and send Line messages.
The Wave was introduced during an event in June. It's based around Line's competitor to Alexa, Cortana, and Siri, which is known as "Clova."
Consumers can purchase the smart speaker through Line's website, Amazon, and Rakuten for $125. It's entering the market ahead of its Western competitors becoming available in the region.
