As promised, Lenovo has now announced the limited-edition ThinkPad Anniversary Edition 25 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the ThinkPad lineup. The first ThinkPad notebook called ThinkPad 700C was announced back on October 5, 1992, and the new device is based on the ThinkPad T470 with improved specifications.
Lenovo ThinkPad Anniversary Edition 25 sports a 14-inch Full HD display with touch and is powered by an Intel Core i7-7500U processor with discrete NVIDIA GeForce 940MX graphics. It has a seven-row backlit keyboard with dedicated volume keys and status LEDs. The colorful ThinkPad logo is located at the bottom-right of the keyboard and connectivity options include USB-C port (Thunderbolt 3), three regular USB ports, an SD card reader, HDMI port, and Ethernet connectivity.
The ThinkPad Anniversary Edition will be available in limited quantities in select countries, starting at $1,899.
