Waymo Seeking At Least $2.6B From Uber

In its trade secret case against Uber, Alphabet's Waymo will be seeking at least $2.6 billion in damages, according to Reuters. That figure was revealed by an attorney on Uber's side during a court hearing on Wednesday. Waymo is seeking that amount in connection with just one of the nine trade secrets it's bringing to trial.
The trial could begin in October. Waymo will present evidence that allegedly shows Uber stole and benefited from its trade secrets.
Waymo originally filed the lawsuit in February. It may end up pursuing both damages and an injunction that'd infringe upon Uber's autonomous vehicle development.
